90 Trooper SAS and engine swap questions
I am wanting to swap in a 5.3 vortec ls engine this summer into my trooper, but am still not sure on what transfer case to run. I would like to go with a 4l60E tranny since they seem a lot better then the 700R4s. Now what transfer case can I run if I want to keep passenger side drop? So far to what I understand, the best option is a 241 from a pre 94 suburban, is this true that they were passenger drop and had VSS? I will need the VSS to help shift the tranny.
My end goal is to get the engine swap done and drive it until I can find a good deal on a fj80 front axle to swap in. Please respond if you have any info or comments for what I want to undertake. Thanks |

94 Suburban would be drivers side drop. Passenger side drop is only on the solid axle GM's is it 91 or 92 was the last year for that style Suburbans and Blazers.
