I have an oportunity to buy a 89 Trooper from a buddy of mine for $700. The inside is CLEAN!, and the body is CLEAN!, but....it more than likely has a burnt valve. So...do you guys think this is a good deal, or am I getting into a money pit. I have never owned an Isuzu, and don't know that much about them. It drives great, but it has a miss at an idle. Any info would help.

If you have to do a valve job (probable), check the head for PURITY. Could be cracked or warped.

any running 4wd under 1K is a steal................especially a trooper

. I bought a 89 for a beater, convinced the owner to replace the windshield too fo $600. Then I found my 89RS. So now it's for parts. Buy it .... did I say that already
