Need Diff Ratio For '92 Trooper 2wd

Anyone know the diff ratio for a 1992 2wd Trooper? Anyone have a good set for sale in the So. California area? A friend lost the teeth on his, and were trying to track down a replacement.

the 87-91 rears are 4.56

the 92+ are usually 4.30's...but there are some 4.10's IIRC

you can look here for a complete rear 3rd member:

www.car-part.com

i guess if he is running stock size tires you would just do a stock replacement, but if theya re oversize...take the opportunity to go to 4.56.

Thanks for the info. It's greatly appreciated, since I know zero about Troopers. Now if it were an FJ40...No, we won't go there.

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a 92 2wd trooper, the first 2wd Troopers began in 2000.

Rear axle ratio

My '93 owners manual says 4.555:1

I don't think Isuzu used 4.30:1 in the Trooper until '98 when they switched over to the 3.5L engine from the 3.2L.

Okay, my mistake on the Isuzu model. I talked to the owner this evening, and he now says it's a 1993 Rodeo 2wd. Sorry for the original misinformation. So, what would be the R&P ratio in this vehicle.

If it came with factory 31x10.50R15', then 4.30's. If not, then 4.10's.

Looks like a few more Isuzu lurkers decided to joing, welcome aboard guys
