1995 trooper driveline chirp
I have a chirp coming from my 1995 trooper somewhere in the driveline. Tranny was rebuilt 30K ago and shop says it looks like a tcase issue.
Any thoughts. Kevin

sounds like a short "chirrp". say it with me now, "chirrp"
less than .25 seconds in auditory length. my wife doesn't even hear it but it bugs the living crap out of me. it is primarily heard while driving at highway speeds and does not have an observable time pattern in its repetitiveness. thanks for repsonding Kevin

LOL Chirrrp yeah I think I got the noise.....but i don't know have you checked all of your u joints and the carrier bearing or the fluid level of the trans/tcase they take 5-W30 in most temps except very hot or cold check the manual. Also check the oil in the differentials. I don't really know for sure just some things to try...if you can figure out more specifically where the "chirp" in question is coming from that would narrow your choices too. My $.02 worth.
