2.6 normal operating temp

i am getting rid of my stock fan (it ate the shroud and got replaced with a flex fan that is WAY to fawking noisy) and putting in 1 or 2 electric fans on a custom shroud.
free HP, better slow speed cooling, and i get to lose the whine of that fawking flex fan
but i need to know what on/off temp for a 2.6 would work best. i cant find it anywhere and autozone (as usual) list 3 diffrent temps for it.
so basicly what would you set the fawker at?

Since the responses are lacking, I'll add what little details I have from past experience.

DO NOT LET IT GET TO THE RED ZONE ON THE COOLANT GAUGE !!!
The head will crack/warp.
Optimum would be just after the thermo pops but before it boils over

IIRC, the gauge on my old 2.6 would never get above 1/2 way... with a clean cooling system.

Does the OEM gauge still work ?

With a clean radiator, a good shroud, and a puller fan, you should be OK.
Just watch the gauge. What kind of fan are you considering ?

PM RipDeLips- That fawker has my Chiltons manual !

i was going to use a stock amigo radiator or if i get bored i have a 19x22 aluminum one in the garage (but i think i should stay "stock" for now) and eather a trimmed down Taurus fan or a couple of Mazda 626 fans (nice little pullers) whatever will fit better.

i cant find the normal op temp in my fawking chiltons maybe i am just stupid and yes the regular gauge works, but i have grown to NEVER trust a factory gauge.

I am trying to get as much horsepower out of this little engine without hurting its daily driver abilities. already did a 2 1/4 exaust/high flow cat/turbo muffler and working on my bling ricer intake

Go with the Taurus stuff. Minor modification.
The gauges on the earlier Isuzii seem to work, with a possible exception to the fuel

Make sure the new shroud is a tight fit

2.6 Temp

The factory Manual for the 90-91 Amigo/PU with the 2.6 MPFI says that the thermostat starts opening at 180 F and is fully open at 203 F. HTH..... Post back how your electric fans work. Thanks .............. FWIT my stock T gauge is always real low, just off the bottom of the arc, even after a long hot climb, say 15 - 20 miles and several thousand feet in the 100 + heat, it barely deflects upward.
