well i was just thinking a bit about my LUVs axles. I always thought that it had a 10bolt rear and an 8bolt IFS front. But the front end has 24splines at the hub. Is this normal? And the CVs are the same size as my troopers 10bolt front. Is it posible the LUVs got 10bolt front and rears? Or are the CVs the same from the 8bolt to the 10bolt? Well thanks for any info on this

The 10bolt front didn't show up in Troopers until what, like 87-88? Just based off of that, I doubt that the LUV was sporting one several years earlier...... but stranger things have happened. If you get real bored one day, pull the diff and count the bolts holding the ring gear to the carrier. You know, just whenever you have an extra 3-5 hours handy

I just can't see them using anything besides the 8-bolt axle (if indeed it was an Isuzu axle) in the front end in a Luv. But, hey, Isuzu does weird things. Does anyone have a FSM for the early pickups? Michael |
