Stereo wiring colors here - '91 Trooper

After not finding the correct diagrams corresponding to the colors on my stereo wiring harness, I took the time to find it out on my own and thought I'd pass the info along. This was from my 1991 Trooper LS with the factory Delco cassette deck, which I have now replaced with a spanky new head unit - speakers to follow.

Note: there are two identical solid red wires on my harness. I have designated them "Red (Left)" and "Red (Right)". When looking at the front of the harness as it was removed from the back of the original deck (clip-upwards), the Red-only wires are on the far left and far right sides.

The colors listed are indicating the primary color of the wire followed by the stripe color, if applicable.

White = Constant 12V+
Blue/yellow = Switched 12V+
Red/green = Ground
Greed/red = Illumination 12V+
Brown = Front left speaker +
Brown/white = Front left -
Green = Front right +
Red (Right) = Front right -
Red (Left) = Rear left +
Red/black = Rear left -
Blue = Rear right +
Blue/white = Rear right -

This could apply to more years - if your harness has the same colours, you should be good! (May want to check a few connections with a multimeter to be sure).

Hope this helps someone!
