It will get finished, and yes, I will likely wreck it again....that's the point - go have fun.
Just purchased five Autometer Cobalt gauges as well. Been a long road, but we are getting close. Pics coming soon~ |

update
Yep - took out all the factory wiring to clean things up. Lots of unnecessary stuff. Engine is wired up - new fly wheel installed mated to the new torque convertor. Everything is good to go.
Purchased an air box from a 1997 Chevy V8 so we can run the intake tube into the cab (right hand turn vs. the left hand design on the 4.3L) - will have to relocate the Howell computer, but should be no big deal. Gauges being installed into plexi glass - hope to hear it run by Sunday!!! Then Scoot - just have to recheck all the welds. |

Back to the Amigo today - should be the first time to hear it run on the new fuel injection system.
Gauge pod has been completed, all the misc parts are here to fire it up. Wiring needs to be done. We flipped the rear springs around Friday night - didn't work as planned so moved them back 1" on the spring seat - will review again once settled out - as for the front - I'm still unsure about spring under - may be time to scrap it all and go a different route - let me get it running first today - then make a decision - Can anyone give me better advise about my hydraulic steering - when driving, it will just out of the blue pull hard to the left or right - like there is air in the system or the fluid isn't cooling fast enough? I have a cooler on it, and I thought all the air was out of the system - anyone else ever had this issue? |

For the front axle/ride height situation; Why not pull a leaf or two and fix the shackle attachment point(IE-move it) and it should lower the ride height and gain some in the flex department.
