t&t unibody stiffeners donot work with MJ

this is just a heads up

the t&t unibody stiffeners do not work with a MJ like they told me on the phone
i was told i would only need to trim the end of them
well the mj unibody widens after the cross member and it has a 90* angle after the crossmember as well instead of the 2 45's so these will not work without major modification

i am not trashing their product because it looks like a great product for a xj

i will be calling them this morning when they open

If you cut the TNT braces down, you could use them on the front portion of the frame that matches an XJ, but I wouldn't want to spend the cash they want for them just to cut them up either. Maybe you could purchase ONE rail and cut it in half to use one half on either side? Just so others will know, the TNT braces are 3/16" thick and bent in an L shape with the corner angled to match the XJ uni-frame shape. Captain Ron has built some very nice MJ and XJ frame plates, but he has access to industrial machines. I did make a photo album of the pieces he's made though for sharing ideas. His MJ plates are 10 gauge cold rolled steel plate bent in an L shape with rosette weld holes punched all over them. His XJ plates are 10 guage cold rolled steel U shaped and fit tight to the XJ uniframe shape. I think the XJ plates are missing the inner upper part of the U, so they are actually more like J shaped. From my research, 10 guage is just over 1/8".

I think the ones he's made were pretty much one offs, but they would make an excellent product if he ever got into sales. Jeff

Its cause the guy got his thread deleted because he freaked out and bashed TnT Customs publicly.
Heres most of the story:

i never bashed anyone, read the whole thread and find one place where i bashed bob or his business, i was calm and professional the whole time

i only had 2 posts in the pirate thread, which was the first one (same as on naxja) and one stating that i apologized for posting it on pirate as tnt was not a pirate vender

Update on my TNT Customs situation.

Well as of this morning May 24th 2007 I have my refund that I was told I would have 3 weeks ago. For those of you that dont know what is going on, please read this whole thread (minus the shoe crap)
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=919323
Yes I am Flava Flav, and Bob, the owner of TnT does come on and posts 2 times.

I will have the sliders for UPS pickup if that is what Bob wishes, otherwise on May 31st I will donate them to the Northeast Association of 4WD Clubs Access-4-All Program

I was never here to bash Bob or his business, just to get my problem resolved. Which it did. I am happy to have my money back.

Derek
