whoever told you that they were direct bolt in's is a tard. they're far from 'bolt' in by any means of the word. for the 9", the spring perch width would need to be corrected, the brake lines would need to be looked at and adapted most likly, the drive shaft yoke would need to be adapted or changed and the front just gets more fun. pretty much figure cut everything off the front axle and start from ground zero and copy your d30 would be a good start.

Uh... F-150s run 1310 u-joints. They bolt right in. I happen to have the yoke off one on my front D44. The only thing that would be needed is possibly a u-bolt kit for the yoke. Anywho, these axles aren't even the same width. |
