need some help from you guys.

yeah im new to this 4x4 stuff since i was a kid i wanted a jeep cherokee with leaf spring suspension all around and 33 iroks so maybe you guys can give me some pointers.
here are some of my questions.
-is a chevy dana 44 front end a good one to use
-has anyone heard of swapping a late model xj tj or zj intake to the i6 for extra power.
-i would like a nice set of shocks that are really quality and good warranty with long travel please suggest some.
-i was thinking of going with rear leafs on front cuz i have a spare set and getting 2 rustys 3.5 leaf packs and make some thick 2 inch shackles.
all help is much appreciated.

first off... im callin the fire department... the flames are on their way

im prety sure you should be all set with your stock axles ant 33's unles you plan on wheeling it hard, and it seems to me that you wont be. dont mess with an axle swap if you dont have experience..

go for an after market intake if you want more power, dont waste your time on a late model stock intake.

i would go for a kit for your lift, the best entry level kit that comes with everything would be rubicon express, i have heard some bad things about rusty's but i dont have any first hand experience.

your best bet is to go with an entry level 4.5" lift from rubicon express, you should be all set with that and 33's.

A Chevy axle will work, but you'll have to run it upside down so the diff is on the right side!

Wasn't this forum going to be renamed "Jeep - Cherokee Hardcore Tech"?

There are some good budget kits for the Cherokee from Rubicon Express. I am not sure why you want leafs on the front?

No flame suit necessary.
It would be like laughing at a full body running through Sledge Hammer in Johnson Valley.
You should be feeling sorry for his sorry ass instead.

But, just drive your junk around a while, read up, join a couple of on-line Cherokee specific groups and learn. Eventually you may end up with your childhood dream. I know a couple who have gone to leaf spring front ends...

If you are talking about the intake manifold, you will want to use one of a 00 or 01 4.0L. They are the best flowing.
