I have a 91 that was a project but the deeper I get into the more of a pos it becomes so I found a mint 88 4 door but it runs like crap and has no ac. I would like to make this an ultimate dd and trail rig. my 91 has ac and I would like to put it into the 88.

What's wrong with the 91'? Can you just use the parts from the 84'? I know all wouldn't be compatable, but some are
Changing the a/c over wouldn't be easy either. Special tools and materials needed also. Like a vacuum pump, gauge manifold set, R-134a refrigerant, and a scale to weigh the refrigerant into the system. Just a note: It is illegal to discharge the refrigerant; subject to a two thousdand dollar fine if caught (most unlikely thou). If you add nitrogen to the system first then it's legal to vent. What a dumb ass law.
