3-link and crossmember dimensions

going full width, going to 3link the front, just needed a few dimensions and any recommendations on the design.

Need all dimensions marked with X if anyone has them. i would get them but am away from the jeep at the time, and need some steel estimates



Also what sized Heim has everyone been using for the upper, i was thinking a 7/8" with 3/4" ball

Well screw the stock mounting hole dimensions, you should be adding unibody bracing and maybe some nutserts for bolting that sucker on there. (like timmay)

You'll of course want to take into account theframe width to make sure the lowers don't contact it, although it should be fine.

I'd love to see these dimensions filled in. I actually asked timmay if he had his little dimensions piece of paper for the x-member, but he said he did not

You should just plan on measuring anyways, as they say, measure thrice, cut once.

The stock XJ pad width is 37".

I found this on NAXJA a while back. Hopefully it will help you get started.

yea i plan to do unibody reinforcement and mount the crossmember the same way as timmay and vette.

and dont worry ill be doin alot of measuring before the real thing, im just trying to see about how much steel i will need

Drawing Updated with some more Dimensions, and one more question im wondering what size tube would be best to use for the upper mount on the cross member, if i where to get a 7/8"x3/4" heim and some 7/16 wide standard mis spacers from ballistic that would put mounting width at 1.75, so i could use 2"x1/8" tubing, but im thinking that the 1/8" tubing will not be thick enough, what do yall think.
