Transfer Case
Just Bought a new transfer case from Mountain Garage to replace the one I broke this weekend it has the hd V8 planetary and wider chain good for up to 3900 ft/lbs of torque. Hopefully i wont break this one. You can get the 231 with slip yoke eliminator for 850 I put his contact info below.

I replaced my stock NP242 with a 208 from a 3/4 ton Ford p/u, ran that for a couple years with no complaints - 32 spline outputs front & rear, and lots of beef
![]() Had to "massage" the floor a little to make it fit, and trim a 1/4" off the seal housing around the input shaft - bolts up to the AW4 nicely. It did hang down a bit low - now running a 231 with the A.A. SYE kit. (had to make room for the Clayton cross member and skid plate)231 seems to be OK, only running 35's so not a big load on it........but the front output sure is small compaired to the 208 Last edited by PedalMesh; 07-12-2007 at 03:01 PM. |
