ZJ front bumpers

Post up some ZJ front bumpers, i'm planning on building one and would like some inspiration.

i did search and didnt come back with much.

One I built for my buddy a few years back, definitely have gotten alot better at it since then. Doing mine next spring after I do the waggy 44 swap and 35's and trim.

anything.

i did try google and got a bunch of pre-fab stuff, but i want to see what people have come up with on their own

some of the things on manufactured bumpers are kinda hard to replicate for the backyard mechanic.

Got to work on a front bumper today

First step..finish front fender trim...started with this


Then took it down to this


Cut out bracket slots

I am about to do the same as I just bought a ZJ for the wife's play toy can't wait to see what people post up I don't want one that heavy as she wount be useing it untill she rear ends some one

Looking at all your options is the best way to get ideas

I look at everything from TJ XJ ZJ MJ YJ Toya Ford Chevy ect to get ideas for something I want to build.

I recommend expanding your ideas to everything and anything possible

I try to come up with things completely new and different

I was anal and had to have the bumper follow the grille roughly at least






could have come out better, but i had trouble with mock up and shit(workin on blasting and painting now)

yea, it kinda doubles as a radiator skid, which justifies the height, and i wanted to leave enough room for a permanent winch in the future.

im not a huge fan of stingers, but that looks fawking awesome. i like

looks like your front axle is wider than the rear


good stuff though. did you build it yourself?

Yeah its homebuilt by me, the front axle is wider then the rear in the pics as the front is a full width 44 and the rear is an 8.8. Thats been fixed with a 9" now
