XJ Build on TRUCKS TV this weekend

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that TRUCKS TV has started building up an '88 XJ. Its a budget build starting w/ a crashed out POS. Nothing too hard core but for you guys that are into XJ's and ain't doing much on Sat or Sun am - check it out. I know some(most?) of you think the show is weak and the "new" guys suck but I think its worth taking a look at. It should end up being a fairly tough DD/weekend wheeler.

Let me know what you think. I know you Pirate folk are real bashful w/ your opinions.

Ryan,

I think the show is pretty decent. I am looking forward to see what you can do with the Cherokee POS. Good luck.

Cool episode! I love the low budget / nuts and bolts / build-up episodes. I would have done the same low-buck build with the XJ you had. As for the show, you and Kevin make a good team. You guys seem to be getting in the groove of things and have some interesting projects coming up. Fawk the haters, and most of them just hated the wrestling guy anyway (including myself).

THat frame puller must be a spendy item. We've got a 90 XJ that we pulled some front end damage out on. That puller would have been way cool to get my hands on.

Just watched it, like the direction the show is going now, wasn't a big fan of the wrestler dude either, show makes a good warm up for Ian and Jessie

I watched it. Good show! I liked what you did with the door hinge. I never understood why Jeep didn't bolt the body side hinges on from the factory anyway. I like the direction this one is going (as well as the now-finished Das Bronco). So far, at least, it isn't a 30 minute commercial for the newest, most expensive trendy aftermarket parts on this build that the average guy can't afford to go out and buy. It looks a lot like my second XJ build, which is long gone now, and I've built a third XJ that I have now. I've spent way more money on this one than I intended to, but I built it right, so there's no disappointments in it.

As for "the new guys suck", meh, most people just don't like change, including me. Stacey David was one of the originals, and the wrestler dude sounded like he seriously needed to clear his throat or something. You guys are doing good, so I keep watching.

97uo black grill, $300 (IIRC), too late... If it was a trail only rig I we would have just trimmed.

So far so good....In fact the whole season so far has been pretty good. The "MuscleTruck Wars" looks to be pretty cool.

Keep up the good work Ryan and Kevin
