TOTM Ideas?

So... are we gonna get this party started or what?

I'd love to see Topics of the Week on 3 linking the front (non-radius arm), Interior Roll Cages and Engine cages, custom dashes, bodywork (in general)...

What are some other suggestions?

Billy

Damn good idea. Add tech as it comes. Easy to find, etc.

Ive talked with IndyCJ and our plan is to have one "jeep" tech bible
/forum/jeep-hardcore-tech/705122-official-pirate4x4-com-jeep-talk-bible.html

It will include cherokee stuff, Hard core jeep section stuff and non-hardcore jeep tech. The master tech bible will have a copy in all three forums.

We can have our own TOTM ideas and threads but it will be included in the master Jeep tech bible.

Some Ideas for Cherokee TOTM:
Unibody Slider/boatside projects
Unibody raised gas tank
Cherokee V8 swaps
Cherokee front leaf conversions
Unibody cages
Propane conversions

It might also be nice to have a break down of the stages of the XJ's throughout the years and the differences between them so that newbies can find info without posting up q's and being flamed. Such things as what axles were found under which years, spline counts of axles and trannys for which years, engine styles in which years, body styles in which years, etc...

I realize it's not a TOTW suggestion per se, but I think it might be useful.

Front clip/nose change from the older square 87-95 to a 96 and up?

Door swaps and hinges, pin on doors or swapping out that stupid leaking vent window.

Id like to have an advanced discussion on leaf springs in the rear of our rigs...

what are people doing with them?
shackle length? shackle bolt location?
ladder bar / traction bar?
shock mounting?
anyone running 63" chevys the toyotas tout?
leaf spring mounts?

almost everyone with a full body is running leaf springs in the rear, and almost everyone is dying to get rid of them - if for nothing more than the bling factor of air shocks or coil overs in the rear - but I am honestly REALLY happy with my rear suspension, and am interested in seeing other setups that are working really well...

more with less...

How about a safety section,.. harness installation, reinforcements, cages,.. anything to help you protect your bucket if the shiny side doesn't stay up...

I'd like to see an installment about tubing the front end of Cherokees. Protecting the front end shit without having a bumper that sticks out a mile and kills approach angle. I've seen some of this, but not nearly as much as I think is out there. I ripped the front fascia of mine off on a tree and am looking for ideas on how to protect the next set of body panels without destroying them on the first wheeling trip.

The new month is near!

I would pick from these three, what do you want?

Dove trails and narrowed fronts.
Unibody raised gas tank
Cherokee front leaf conversions

Dove tails and narrowed fronts or leaf conversions. I'd like to see what people to do dove nose or tail their rigs but I have (what I consider to be anyways) a pretty good summation of a leaf spring conversion too.
