That front is lookin badass man. I can't quite tell if you have the grill mounted in there, or just laying slanted forward...but I like it. It kinda gives the feel of something between an old jeep and an old dodge to me, the proportions of everything look great with the dovenose though! Floorboards look clean too, sucks you have to hack into 'em for the seats!

Looks great man, I like what you did with the floor. Hows the seat mounting going? I am starting on the same project with the same doubler setup. I have been running a Spartin Locker in my front D60 for a while now with no problems and it hooks up well. The Spartin is a great locker for the money.

And yea, I wasnt too happy when I wrapped up that last piece and painted the floor...only to set a seat in place and realize Im way too high. Quote:
Thanks Chaps! Seat mounting isss aaa.... yea Im takin a break. Im a pretty avid fisherman and the walleye are up spawning. Ive hit the rig HARD for almost everyday for the last 6 weeks. Takin a few nights off. But honestly I was gettin the urge at work to tinker tonight. And actually seat mounting has been another classic case if designs block. Ive got 2 notches cut and Ive placed the seats in. Everything is good and Im hapy with head clearance. But figuring out the actual mount is getting the upper hand. Im thinking Ill lay in a slightly heavier (1/8) filler there and weld the bolts threw the underside with a a reinforment plate running the entire length f the seat, to the other bolt. Similar to a stock method but on steriods. I dont know tho. Im thinking Ill stare at it for a few hours, then go thro line and think about it a few more hours. :Shrugs: Whaaaaaat? Thanks.....I think.

Seats are in.
Im not happy with this at all. I mean, I am....but things got so tight underneath Im more concerned about the t-case kissing the seat mount now than anything. Ive got a little over 1" until the tcase touches. If it rotates any more than that, then I will have to modify the seat.....again. But with poly motor mounts, rubber tranny mount and a rubber 300 support....I think....Im going to be ok. Thoughts on this are welcome. Should be as easy as reving the motor a tad right? Yea....if my alarm would shut off long enough to let me do that...... Motor starts and runs fine, just wont stay running cause of the alarm. (Does anyone know how to disengage a factory alarm system?) Moving on.... Mounts are stout as shit. Everything removed was replaced with 1/8 and 3/16. If the seats are gonna break off, they are going to have to take the entire floorboard with. I orginally thought I needed some more bracing, but then decided it would just be unnessicary weight. Passenger side.... ![]() Also passenger side.....showing 1/8 gussets ![]() Passenger mounted... ![]() Driver side. This is the hole I hade to cut. Nice ehh.... ![]()

Thanks for the compliments! And yes,.....very very close. But not according to the wallet. ![]() Fab wise its moreless done. I still need to do the interior b-pillar cage (which broke out the rear window BTW... ) and then attach seat belts. And I need to wrap up the belly skid which is moreless done also. Aside that, just about everything is done. Oh I guess I need shifters too. Im down to waiting on the last few parts I need really. Which totals to about 1200 bucks. Most of which is plain jain stuff. Battery, few brake parts, few steering parts, exaust, fluids and some other dumb stuff. Then assemble everything Im too anal to leave outside. Had to get another shot in my back tho, so gotta meet the 2,000 deduct and have a few other things I gotta take care of, then Im back on track. That explains why Ive been kinda casually working on it. Alllllllllmost there tho.

Also I wanted to share this.... little seat info.
Im not a huge guy but bigger than most. About 6'2, 210lbs or so (and dropping rapidly ). In searching for seats I found SEVERAL complaining about Corbeaus SS being short. Short as in the top of the head rest was hitting the base of their necks. And being taller than some of those complaining, I simply did not want to take the risk of a neck injury. So my options where to upgrade to the Ultra's (Another 100 a seat) or find another seat all together. Naturally I shopped around. Now, I oginally looked at the Hunsakers but in searching around for reviews I found a comment from Camo saying "Shitty welds, shitty material, blah, blah, blah..." So I kinda steered away from them. But then running out of the less expsensive seats to look at....I went back and re-researched the Hunsakers. Camo's post was almost 5 years old so I let that slide an focused on the rest of the reviews.... Come to find out, the Hunsakers are now made by PRP. Which made me very happy. So I searched for seat dimesions and low and behold, the seat is 4" tall than a Corbeau and cheaper. So I pulled the trigger. Now, keep in mind the seat being taller is not the issue with me hitting my dome on the roof. Thats a combination of the t-case and me just being a little tall. The seat cushion height and depth is the same as just about all other suspesion style seats. If anyone else stumbbled upon Camo's post....ignore it. I assure you the seat is very well made. They are very comfy as well.

Well stop by sometime man! Ive been out A LOT latelty.
Just leave that Brandon kid where he's at tho. If its the same Brandon I know, then he's out telling people he built things that I infact built. Im not cool with that and my next encounter with this fuckbag wont go over so well.

These seats are fuggin me at all corners. As if t-case clearance and head clearance issues werent enough......now they are seriously comprimising the way I had the interior cage planned out.
Pics tonight.....Its gonna be one of these things where "It is what it is". Dont have any corners left to cut.
