Good and Bad!

So I have good news and bad. I ordered my rear heims today and a dimple die set 1/2in threw 2 1/2. Got a big part of my stiffeners on and the rest of my boat side supports on. I'm grabbing some more tube in the morning so I can get the tubing done under the hood and build the front shock mounts. The bad news is after this weekend this project wil be on hold I got an offer on my daily driver that I couldn't turn down. So now I have to get my 72 short wide back together. The one good thing is I have everything I need to build It at the shop except the one piece glass its on the way. The bad thing is its a bare blasted cab on a cart right now. Ill be back on the jeep in about two weeks

yes I do there will be a bolt in brace a little back from that. it will bolt into the shock mounts and continue to the outer tubes.

I like the upper shock mounts, look sick! Hey, I saw you out at the ponds a few months ago, my friend and I helped push you off the huge concrete culvert! The new mods will be sweet!

Holy boatsides! This is coming out great! Excellent work.

3 things....
-make your pics bigger
-What is the purpose for keeping the stock tranny tunnel since you've cut out everything else?
-Why didnt you opt to dovenose?

Most of the tunnel has already been cut out. I only cut as I need as I go. As far as the narrowing the front. I still want it to look like. Jeep, the best i can when its all done. Also it will be street legal.

10-4 on the streetability. That was the main reason I didnt pull the trigger on mine initially. Now thats outta the question, I went for it. But I hear ya.

FWIW...mine is doved about 7 1/2" and honestly looks VERY stockish. Check my thread if your intrested.

bob

I started the bob 10 in is the plan. Once I got in to it I decided see how the stock tank would fit and it did but didn't optimize space and clearance both with how low the rig is at bump. My fix for this was to replace the rear frame rails with 2x4 1.20 4 1/2 higher and I will just shorten the hatch to match. Should be around 5in to match the bumper.

If something doesn't fit the way you want just cut more!!

the hatch

I started welding up the rear chop and getting the bottom of the rear shortened. Hopping to get some tube going in tomorrow.
The hatch will end up 6 3/4 shorter than stock. So i will build some tail light boxes. I'm not sure where to put the license plate?
