It's working amazing.. gotta finish the rear tubs and fab up new front inner fenders..I am pulling my sliders to plate my "frame" down the middle.. figure since I'm doing that and I have a stick of 2x4x.25 boat sides would be a great idea...then tubing so it will be a lil bit..

Had to slide back into my old mini truckin days. Got em on ebay. They are projector h4 housings for a Nissan 240sx basically any 6x7 housing will fit to replace the old 6054 sealed beam. Then I got a set of 8000k hids from the same seller super easy install. Run 3 grounds and a hot and plug into normal harness no cutting.. I love them

K been awhile since I posted up.. been getting a lot done..rewired all of my stuff under the hood..fans,headlights, power cables. Cleaned everything up. Currently working on some creature comfort stuff (being an x car audio installer) couldn't pass up putting a crazy stereo in it all tucked out of harms way and sub unbolts for when its trail time.
And I'm taking a brake as I type this from getting the boat sides underway. Not to crazy ended up trimming 2 1/4 inches from the doors and welding in ny 2x4 .25 wall now.. gained 5.5 inches from my old ones.. pretty sweet pics up later

Nice, that's the way I should have done mine. It's not going to be fun to re-do them.

so this might sound somewhat commical seeing as how im on tons with coilovers and 39.5s but i think its time to get serious. hopefully getting some diybeadlocks for christmas but also wanting to swap some new stuff in during winter..
upgrades im thinking.

before after
-39.5x13 iroks -42x15 rockers(keeping 17" rim)
-4.10 gears -5.38s min
-242 t case -241j tcase
-durango steering box -hydro assist(budget or psc input???)
also need input on header sometimes im a label whore but i really like banks any input on a cheaper equivalent?
thanks for the input guys

well not really progress related but being as i used to be a car audio installer for a few years i cant seem to have a vehicle with out a stereo in it..my stereo is nothing major as far as im concerned pretty basic but needless to say there was a car audio contest here in town yesterday and i got off work in time so i figured wtf lets go see what my old crowd is up too and......

135.0db on a termlab meter with 500 watt amp and 1-12 lol guess i still got it.. funny thing is the sub is in a simple easy to pull out box for when i hit the trail.. just proves knowledge goes a long way.. i would of taken second in the 801-1500 class too pissing off high school kids is fun..
my wheeling buddy Kaosvictim decided to accompany in his custom focus and took 1st in 801-1500 too lol..

anyway my ruff stuff uni stiffeners are here and im getting ready to head over to the shop now redoing the exhaust burning in the stiffeners and hopefully doing my boat side supports pics to follow

all cleaned off

you can see in this one where i caved in my uni frame last weekend lol

burned in my stiffeners were off a bit i had to cut out new holes for my tranny other than that easy install

got the exhaust redone all tucked up nice just need to fab a lil skid for my muffler

now that the stiffeners are in i can start finishing the boat sides then I can fab my new fenders and start the hybrid exo cage..bout time

so the jeep got a few things it wanted for christmas.
new tantrum rock lights

as well as some DIY beadlocks in the ocho pattern but gotta fill the bottle and get a new roll of wire before i can start. plus my lil piggy bank stash is about $200 buck from pulling the trigger on a psc extreme duty hydro assist kit and PS cooler

Really liking this so far you just need to hurry up and wheel that thing hard so I know how that axle holds up. My build plan is vary similar to yours you just seam to have a little more coin then me. lol

Supposed to go wheel The Cracks here in N AZ this weekend but think ima wait and burn the rest of my locks on first so I can get a true solid shake down run in.. yeah I'm not a fan of holding back or backing down from an obstacle not a throttle jockey just hate pulling cable lol
