Have a freind with a 42 willy's Jeep wanting to know what side the chassis numbers are on the chassis rail ?

Can you also advise how many numbers and digits their are if any at all.

Left front frame, back of bumper. Engine numbers are at front of engine block by water pump...... for most older jeeps.

It's probably an MB or GPW.

MB numbers for 1942 are: 108599 - 200022
