First of all, it's hardly worth doing a 60 in the rear...Secondly, do you want the same track width? If so, yes, it's a lot of work. Without more, no one will be able to answer your vague question. Oh, and get ready for the flaming, you posted in the WRONG area man!

You're better off with an 8.8.

In a 97 TJ, its a bolt in swap. Basic hand tools are all you need. No cutting or welding required.

You should keep the D35 though, its good 49's & a big block.

Yup that's why they are so unpopular. Would be much better off with the huge strength gains of a D35 or ford 7.5".

I put D60's under my rig and man, what a mistake...should have kept my D30/D35 combo....that was the "for real" setup

Just go into 4 wheel parts with a huge wad of cash tell em you want a currie 60 rear for your Tj... I say this because it is pretty obvious you don't posses the skills or knowledge to takle that kind job. Lots guys with big bucks that wanna go have fun do just that! I saw this many times when I had my JK

Make sure you leave the D30 in the front though that's plenty strong for huge tires.

Yes, but you'll need one of these hats first.
