wich leafs for yj

I installed my 14 bolt with dakota leafs soa. I hit the juck yard and couldnt find any waggy leafs for my front end. What are some vehicles i could steal some leafs for the front. Are waggy leafs different than cherokee?

did you install a wrap bar? and waggy leafs are about 2-3 inches longer and cherokee is about 6 inches longer than yj springs. cherokees are good up front but spring perches will be in an issue also depending what you do steering driveshaft etc. i reccomend finding some good waggys or do some soa springs.

btw hardcore bra

Waggy Leafs are close in length to stock YJ Leafs but the pin is offset 2". The Cherokee Leafs are 6" longer than YJ's I think, and the pin is offset 6".
So 2" stretch with waggy's, and 6" stretch with xj's.

Btw, Get a dictionary and study grammer. All of this spring info is available through Google with a quick search.

On my CJ5 I run the Dodge Durango springs up front it has a 10 inch offset on the center pin for a nice stretch.

I also had to 100% run a rear track bar , the leafs won't last 5 min without one and any throttle

I'm running rancho 44044 in the front with a Dana 60 and custom flat fenders , I get very little axle wrap with a 383 and heavy right foot . The Dakota rears are very soft but work very well , best leaf combo I have ever seen

I run stock waggys in the front of mine. I picked up a set of 7 leafs from rustywaggoneers.com, or however you spell his username on here. I wound up ditching the bottom three leafs, and it may still be too tall. I run a lq4(6.0)/350/205 so I would say yes they're plenty.

You do not need a track bar with leafs. I haven't run them in years, just added weight in my opinion. You do however need to get an anti-wrap bar inplace before your springs look like an S.

What?

There is a huge difference between saying track bar and traction bar

panhard = track bar

or are you confusing mall crawler & honda race tech with offroad tech?

Sway bars do everything they can to stiffen up your suspension other applications use traction bars.

traction bars or anti wrap bars can help stiffen up suspension and in other applications minimize wrap but when used in the rear to minimize wrap they will impact travel, even when setup properly there is a difference...........
