Angry hows a red cj wtih a 350 appeal to you

first off im not a newbie i may only be 16 but i know alot about jeeps much in part from reading things from yall. ive got a lifted tj but i added up my summer pay checks and now im looking for a cj. theres a fire engine red CJ-7 350 chevy amc20 in the back wtih 35 spline and d35 up front. weber carb and sidepipes ( JCwhitney.) heavy duty greasble shackles hard top w/ bikini top, half door, full soft doors. rebuilt tranny( didnt get to look at what type) and 32's. this sound like a good deal to yall? rhino lined new paint. im not a speeder so im not gonna kill myself with a 350 so no need for response on that and feedback on if everything looks good. price is 8000 maybe come down a little bit. in Charleston Sc theyre arent that many cjs poppin up for sale and the ones that do have been rusted through . thanks

$8K sounds kinda high....but I've never bought or sold a used CJ...I say you buy a complete stocker (the more rust the better starting point) and go at it!

Oh yeah, and it don't really matter much if it appeals to me does it?

Damn, one more edit...the tranny could be important to know, because if its stock, you'll want to replace it, because a T5 (forgot the year we're talking about here) or T4 or pretty much any stock CJ tranny won't hold up too well to a V8, especially if a 16 year old is drivin' it.

Ya you might be, but that 350 purring under the hood is sorta hard to resist....

8K is sorta pricey but if the engine is in tip top shape and installed right and the body is in good shape I would say go for it.

I just gave 6k for a 85 CJ-7 w/hardtop in darn near perfect condition with stock stuff.

The choice is yours....

Better question. How's he afford a lifted TJ and still have enough money to buy an overpriced CJ??? He's either full of crap, or he's got rich parents. If it's the second of the two, more power to ya. If you're just bullshitting us, then I have to ask... WHY?

The red will make it go faster, blue is better for rocks, green gives it more power, orange will ren better at extreem angles.
maybe you should go for a paintjob!

seriously though it sounds high. I paid
$1200 for my cj5 but it already had some sh*t done to it, but it is a '67.

sense the owner doesnt even know what axles it has I would not Trust any of the vehicle, have someone go over it with a fine toothed comb. It sounds very overpriced and like it wasnt put together by someone who knew what they were doing, and the purchaser is kinda naive and doesnt know exactly what he is looking at. Pass this one up there will be a much better deal out there for you

For a base line, I just bought an 85 CJ7 with a warmed over 350 for $6000 in Austin. Stock T5 and 20 rear. No rust, garaged. Got it with an 8k Ramsey, full steel doors and new 32x11.50 BFGMTs.

I'm a dumbass and haven't even wheeled it yet. Instead I'm right in the middle of installing a 465 and fighting off "junk vehicle" tickets because the cops think the jackstand under my oil pan is permanent. Fuckers.
