Sweet "new" Commanche!!
Buddy of mine here in the UK has finally rolled out his custom built Commanche. Its really a rolling advertisment for what his shop can do, but it will be wheeled hard on the runs over here too!!

Wow I'm feeling better about the one we're building in my club right now. Two commanche's for $250 and one totalled but built cherokee made what should be running this Tuesday. 6" lift, Ford 9" rear, Dana 30 front, Gastank in the bed, Atlas II, and he's into less than a $1,000 last time I checked not counting the totalled cherokee. We took a little bit of this and that and made the rest or pulled it at the junkyard on 1/2 price day. Betcha it can keep up with your buddies custom built one too.
![]() Thats a sweet rig your describing don't get me wrong I'm not trying to knock it

I know the 119" stock wheelbase on a long bed Cherokee might seem a bit long to some. And the extra bed length hanging off the rear should go for sure. But I can't believe they cut 16" off the wheelbase!
