Torque Converter TF727
Hi !
I bought an TF727 incl. NP228 from an '80 Chief without an Torque Converter. Can I use an TC from a AW4 or TF999/904 incl. Flex Plate ?! Fit that combo ? When an TC from one above listed transmission fits, which one is the best choice for offroading ? TC from the TF727 are rare in Germany therefore I search an alternative. Thanks and Greets, Pierre

1. No, TC's are model specific to the transmisison.
2. A TC for the TF727 is about $100 - $150 new/refurbished. 3. A TC built for differing stall speeds is about $200 - $250. 4. Sit down and think if you need the different stall speed, 5. If not... the TC can be obtained locally at almost any transmission shop.
