I dont have any recomendations for making a Z type bar but when you do get a little cash, you can start by buying the passenger arm. Then you can run the new draglink and leave the tie rod below until you can get another arm.

Or just make your tie-rod out of some 1.5", .375 wall DOM and always leave it in the stock location. After about 5 trips I realized I couldn't bend it, so why move it

GET THE HIGH STEER ARMS FROM POISON SPYDER. I HAVE THE SAME EXACT SETUP FROMTHEM AND IT WORKS SWEET. NICE ANGLES AND SIMPLE SETUP THAT DOESN'T LIMIT FLEX. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HALF ASSED IT AND HIS HILL BILLY WELD STEER ARMS LIMIT HIS FLEX MAJOR.

you cant bend that??? must be teh 4banger pushing your rig

go ahead adn zlink and gusset for a temporary fix...

then save your money and buy a passenger side arm...then put the drag link up top

then save more money and buy a driver side arm and put the tierod up with her....put the tierod behind the axle too...whats what i did with 2" bds springs...plenty of clearance...

you can see my pics for the arms i made and my setup

Sounds like too much work to do it wrong, bending .25in walled tube is kinda hard, then adding gussets.. wasiting tube...
I figure your halfway to the cost of doing it right...

Just sell some blood or something and buy the single highsteer arm.

If you bought the stuff from poison spyder, you aint poor, so do it right.

Pass side arm and have the flat top machined.
It does add up, but why spend money not doing it right?

I think the z shaped bar is a stupid idea.

My lengthy plan includes a double ended pass side high steer arm, cause i am going to use it for the ram that I also plan to install. I still have not seen any reason to move the tie rod up yet either.

for $.50 a pound you can buy some 1" thick steel plate and make your own. Then all ya gotta do is drill some holes and you're ready to go. Make sure you get the ackermann right or the thing won't turn right.
