Looking for engineering specs on 35 spline axles - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I am trying to find info on the actual splines of the axle.

Pitch
Pressure angle
Major & Minor Diameters

And any other specs that may be useful. I have some stuff I need broached and I can't seem to find this info.

Have you tried Billavista's site? He's pretty damn thorough. Try there.

try search for "involute spline" i was researching this a while back and can't remember who it was that posted up some sweet info on common pressure angles. if i remember right, most dana axles are 30 degrees.

i've tried drawing them up a time or two, but end up running out of time or get tired of fawking with it.

the machinery's handbook has a good section on involute splines as well, but from what i've found, lacks drawing info.

24-48 Diametrical Pitch (DP)
30* Pressure Angle (PA)
