Tire Rub!?!?!
Recently I did a axle swap on my 94 YJ and after I got everyting back together i noticed my front passenger side tire was rubbing my steering. It is very minnor but still it rubs. It only hits the tire while driving so i was going to put about 1/4 thick washers behind the wheel so I could get it to the muffler shop and later get spacers or smaller width tires, different back spacing wheels. I am runnin 35x15.50 tires. Thanks

What help do you need? You never asked a question....you simply stated what you were going to do

You might be better off by re-phrasing your question so that it is actually a question
also try the odd little button that is labled search....sometimes you can answer your own question by researching previous posts and avoid looking like a knucklehead...

Rephrase that so we can see what you're asking. What part of the steering does the tire rub? Is the axle centered under the frame? What BS wheels do you have? What axle did you swap in? What is your steering setup? Is it at full lock or anytime you turn the steering wheel? You have to tell us more than "its rubbed since I swapped axles, and I'm gonna stick some washers behind the wheel so I can drive it"

It apears to be a scout d44 front axle, he is runing a stock type steering set up with the drag link connected to the stock tie rod.....since its got scout knuckles on it the tierod sticks out extra long and is rubby the inside edge of the tire....doesn't look too deep, mainly just the grease boot.
Chris: I wouldn't use the washers if it were me, you said your friend had your spacers on his sammy.....I would go get them and put em on.....or you could go to Auto Zone and buy some of those cheap little 1/4in. spacers that they sell, till you get yours back..... I don't know if you saw them, but that blue ranger sitting in the shop had some of the generic Auto Zone spacers on the rear. 10-4, Justin
