Opinion on D44 Hub needed
What locking hubs do you guys recommend for a HP D44 on a XJ with a 4.7L stroker? All I've ever run are the factory Ford POS's and need to upgrade. I'm running the stock 5x5.5 Ford spindles. Is there any manufacturer out there dumb enough to offer a warranty? I here some brands are easier to change than others, especially on the trail.

The Warn hubs are pretty good.
Standard or premium they are the same internally, the plastic dial or the metal dial is the difference. Lifetime warranty.

So Warn has a lifetime warranty. How do they react when you bring back an exploded hub? Do you have to handle the warranty directly with Warn or is it with the dealer? That has a lot to say about whether I mail order them or go local. What's a reasonable price for the premiums? I hate to get ripped off.

As far as the warrantee, I'll check it today and post. I'm sure the warrantee could be dealt with both retailer and Warn, but the retailer might want to see the receipt. If you think you may pop one, carry an extra set because warrantee claims usually take awhile if you're going through Warn.

In rocks we have another name for the....fuses. Yes I plan to carry a spare set. Around here 4WPW is a 4 letter word. Nothing but problems with them so I am probably going to find someone else.
