Need advice about the 2A.
We have a 1948 CJ2A that we are going to restify this summer, and we want to leave it near stock with the exceptions of a small lift, lockers, and a cage. I found a 2.5" lift ( http://www.trailquest.com/superlift/cj.shtml ) and I was wondering if that would make it a spring over, or if the lift would be spring under. If it would stay sprung under, would you recommend putting in the lift, or buying new stock springs and putting them on top of the axles? Thanks, Austynn.

That's a spring under lift. I'd use it. Going spring over will create a bunch of new problems for you. 2.5" is a good lift size for a stockish 2a. Back when mine was basically stock I ran a 2.5" black diamond lift with 33" tires for about 3 years.

Lockrites is about all you will find for the stock axles, they are lockers not limited slips. Superlift is supposed to be a pretty soft ride. Most early CJ lifts are pretty stiff. Good luck.
