Purchased an adapter from a company called Rube-adapter Off-Road Center to go from my turbo 400 to dana 300 in my '78 CJ about a year ago. And let me tell you, I have hammered this Jeep every weekend without any problems at all.
The adapter was specifically made for this type of abuse and installation was a breeze. Was also about $100 cheaper than anyone else. The biggest thing for me was that it is a steel adapter. None of this cast crap. With as well as this has worked, I think the Jeep could be blown to pieces and the adapter would be intact. I was tired of reading nothing but bad things on different companies and their products, I figured I would give credit where credit is do. This company has done me right. Anyone out there thinking about doing transmission/transfer case conversions should look these guys up. www.rube-adapter.com |

hmmmm, ive seen rubes, but isn't it a bit longer than for example novaks new adapter? i want the novaks because it is only one inch thick and is clockable. i'm glad that i stretched im rear 5.5 inches cuz with rubes adapter, my 400 and 300 combo with my nine rear, it would not be pleasant.
