4x4 shops near the OUTER BANKS
I'm heading down from Canada to the Outer Banks in NC at the end of the month. Anyone know any decent 4x4 shops near there? I'm looking for a few things like an after market steering shaft and tie rod flip insert stuff for my CJ.

youll have to call way ahead of time but there are a few reputable shops down there, the 2 major shops down there are Island Offroad (252) 491-5405 and Coastal Offroad (252) 491-5790. I have never personally dealt with these shops but you do pass by both before crossing the bridge over to the outer banks and i have stopped in both many times since im in the outer banks half of my summer ever since i was a little kid.

Downeast Off-road (252)246-9440 is a quality business too but it's in Wilson which is a little ways off the coast. Alex at Extreme-Offroad does great work but he doesn't stock much so if you need something from him you'd better give him a call in advance.

A couple buddies of mine used to turn wrenches at Coastal Off-Road. One guy quit today and the other guy leaves to go back to school soon. There is nobody there worth talking to anymore. They recommend trying Island Off-Road, they seem to be a decent shop.
