Newbie with questions and all that
Hello,
I just recently picked up a 69 Jeepster commando, less engine. I then picked up a 231 out of a 79 Malibu (which I'm assuming is an evenfire). However, the flywheel came out of a 76 buick, and it's to my understanding that in 76 these engines were still oddfire, even though it says evenfire on the flywheel. But people make mistakes. The problem that I have is that the clutch isn't disengaging at all. Even if I put a C-clamp on the release fork and tighten it as far as I can. I changed the throw out fork, and got a longer release bearing, but to no avail. I'm starting to think I have the wrong flywheel, because technically I checked out everything else. Does anyone have a picture of an evenfire flywheel and maybe even the oddfire one? The one I have on there now is rediculously thick. Trying to go to Pismo on wednesday ![]() Thanks guys Christoph
