Post 1/4 elliptic on an offset diff?

Has anyone done this? Can it be done? I run a Dana 18 t-case with waggy axles cut down 4" on the long side. Do I have to buy a new axle if I want to go this route?

The driveshaft would be the problem. You'd really have to play with the links to get it to work. You may also have to limit travel to make sure the ujoints didn't bind.

It is not as offset as the stocker 44 it came with. But offset just the same. I was thinking about the drive shaft too. I dont run a CV (never had the vibration thing so never bought one) would that eleviate the drive shaft problems?

Best thing to do would be to build a mock up and play with it. When we built my 1/4-E we used a bunch of wood and some chain to mock up the axle and the links. Sounds cheesy but it worked. We were able to keep the driveshaft pointed at the tcase through the whole range of motion (I run a CV shaft). We also used it to check clearances etc.
