Looking good. How was it going through the dash? Big deal? Lots of shit in the way? Or just a quick holesaw and slide it down with the top off?

easiest vehicle to go thru the dash i have dealt with yet. unbolt the dash, pull it out, do your cage work, then when its time to bolt the dash back up find where its going to interfere and use a 1.750 barrel sander to notch the dash. it will contact the AC vent but its flexible enough that it deforms around the tube

looks very clean, But dont you think there should be a little more room between the hole in the tub and the tub going through it to allow for flex. more pics and details would be great.

Hell, it can be done without pulling the dash. There's a staright shot down the passenger side and a couple of relays that need to be moved on the driver's side.

That front windshield bar seems to be very close to the hardtop latches, can you still open these latches?

[QUOTE=TotalImmortal]its going to be plated to the tub=no flex.
the cage in my cj is tied into the frame in 6 places and it moves inside the tub when the jeeps flexed out. the frame is still going to flex , IMO the plate will eventually rip the tub. your cage looks good and tight fitting but I would leave some room for it to move a little.

frame/tub flex= bad. when you eliminate this(through a cage) your suspension handles much better.

rip the tub? lol it wont. there is a lot less flexing around on a jeep tub than a ranger and we havent had any problems with with plate ripping off this truck we built

Yup, super simple. Pull the vents and speakers and you'll see. All I had to relocate was the diagnostic port on the d/s and cut/bend a thin sheetmetal flap on the p/s. You can get flex ducting at any NAPA to reroute the venting but I haven't yet and probably won't.

Here's some pics that show where we put mine through* but it's pretty easy to figure it out once you get the vents pulled.

*I'm only posting these pics to help. It's not complete and I know it needs gusseting, etc. all that will be done when we finish the rear. By posting these pics, I am NOT asking for opinions on how well built it is/isn't.

I am curious about this pic. Are you making the front bars and A pillar Separate from the rear and welding them together??
