couple of rock questions

I found a set of rocks but am not sure if theye are the u-joint style i belive the truck is an 84( stamped on motor) and is located in canada..i have a few grainy pics..i know i could have cut the boot but the owner was standing right beside me..if i cant figure it out that very well may be what6 i have to do..

also has anyone switched a rock around to run on the driver side? is it just a matter of rotoating the housing 180 or does the center section need to be rotated as well? also can anyone tell me the stock spring pad width? just wonder if outboarding springs on a YJ is neccessary with this brute if i dont shorten it and i forgot to measure when i was there :>..thanks

geeze..even a flaming would be better than nothin..LOL..can a rock be rotated 180 ( to run driver side instead of pass) and still run in the right direction? i have seen quite a few posts of rigs running this set-up but no mention if anything was required to do it..

hey ripper..do you know if an 1984 Canadian Miltary truck( it definitly has rocks) would have the u-joint style shafts up front? I guess a better way to put it would be how old are most rocks with the other style joints (bendix/repenza sp?)? it will be a couple of weeks before i can get back out to cut the boot on this truck thanks
