I am just about to buy an ECU from someone on the JU board. I dont' know much about them, but I know I need a new PCM (according to the dealer, who wants to rip me off on one). Are these the same part, and are there any accessories I will need to replace this part? PCM, ECM, ECU? What's the difference??
i wouldn't buy anthing like that unless you knew EXACTLY what you needed, down to the little #s that are printed into the side. i'm only saying this cause you obviously are 100% sure what you are even looking for. go by a manual.
A FSM is good to have for near stock Jeeps but it won't give you part #'s. I would sugest you only consider it if it's for the same year and model as your Jeep. Just to be sure ask the guy what numbers are on the side of the box and compare it to yours.
