I was walking around a backwoods junkyard today and came across a 1948 Willy's pickup, no bed, no motor, no trans, no t-case, cab and fenders didn't match but weren't rusted and could easily be smoothed out and primered, interior would need to be fully custom.....but now the good part.

Fully boxed frame, dana 44 front, corp. 14 bolt rear, 4.11 gears, front is SOA with 2.5 inch YJ springs, rear has a shackle flip and yj springs.

The man said $500 as it sits. I am considering going back with $400 cash in hand and see if he bites. What would it take to get this beast on the road again, it has clearance for at least 38's as it sits.

MK! whats up brotha, long time no chat! I don't know much about the Willy's but by the sounds of it, it would be a killer deal, hell even for just all the parts would be worth it for 4 or 5 bills.

how hard is it to get body pannels for these things? I found one on this back road parked in front of a trailer (with 12 other junkers) sitting in a rusty grave...but still not too far gone and it's complete. I can see if it's 4wd, but can't be that hard to convert. I think it's a late 40's....flat grill and 2 piece windshield...any ideas?

There's enough of those around Northern Colorado, that it wouldn't be a problem.
