HP D44, uses the same master install kit???
Not exactly hardcore tech but...
I'm building my first axle, a high pinion dana 44. Does a Ford high pinion dana 44 use the same R&P master install kit as the low pinion dana 44? I can get a d44 master install kit from someone that bought it and now doesn't need it, for a very good price, but I want to make sure it will work with my hp d44. It is a Sierra Gear & Axle Installation Kit, part number IKD44. The description on thier web site is: Dana 44 30-Spline Master Installation Kit. Master Kit Includes: Timken Bearings, Pinion Seal, Crush Sleeve, Pinion Nut, Pinion Shims, Carrier Super Shims, Slinger, Baffle, Ring Gear Bolts, Loctite, Marking Compound, Brush, Silicone & Instructions I could not locate a high pinion specific kit, so it would appear that there is no difference. I'd like to make sure before I buy this kit. |
