How in the hell do you get out the 2 upper bellhousing bolts on a comanche - I assume the cherokee is the same. I spent 6 hours getting everything loose to drop the 904 out and have yet to figure out how to get the upper bolts out. What a miserable piece of crap to work on!
on my 93 Cheerokee I used two long extensions going from the rear of the tranny with the T-case removed.. by the way mine were the TORX head bolts I dont remember the number size..
yup, they're torx.
why, I have no idea.
I'd giver SERIOUS consideration to drilling to 1-1/2" holes in the tranny tunnel and making cover plates for them (it's not like you'll never have to do it again, right?)
