I mounted a 8000# ramsey under the rear of my chevy one time, just flipped the pto 180 degrees, all the bolt holes lined up. Then made drive shafts to the rear. My pto bolted to the transfer case, so I had 4 speeds out, but only had 1 speed in, which was reverse and slow. I used the rear winch more than the front. It always seemed easier to pull yourself out of a hole bacwards.
