scout and jeep.

then, if my memory works, there were two different style jeeps. i believe the later model was shorter or something.

scout had the texas bolt pattern and was only available in the short shaft IFIRC
jeep uses the round pattern and came in a short or long rear output. I believe later ones were long

the '81 jeep cj 7 and 8 were the only jeeps with the short shaft d300. 82 through 86 had the long version. the short shafts are very odd, not eaisly upgradable either. they also have a different spedo connection.
