Steering jam nuts
I just recently picked up a high steer setup. I am looking for some jam nuts size 7/8" / 18. Anyone know where i can get a right and left hand thread nut of this size and thread pitch?

I think these are 18 thread
3.50 and 3.75 http://www.bakerprecision.com/rodacc1.htm I decided to use 3/4 solely because of the jam nuts... 3/4 are real cheap. -Josh |

i have been checking on the same stuff. no one except avalanch engineering has those. i did find that there is a chevrolet part # for those nuts. i just havn't found them yet. i've contacted manufactures that tell me they will make them but for $4 each and i'd have to buy 50. so check the chevy dlr. please email me if you find the part number. also i tryed trw because they sell the nuts with the tie rods on some apps but they are refusing to give up the goods fawkers. they are buying them out from someone is all i got. mcquay and norris is also not helpful. after minutes of interogation of the rep i found they buy most of their stuff from trw. so dealer is the only way. i bet there under $4. They only come with the tie rod ends (ES2234R & ES2233L). I have some that I snagged from the wrecking yard and the others are from buying new TREs.
I have also bought some 3/4" jam nuts, drilled them out and tapped them for 7/8"-18. I can make these if you really want. FYI.......7/8"-18 jam nuts GM# 14024805 and 14024806

Don't mean to slam avalanche again, but if you're in a hurry, call them back and make sure they shipped. I ordered some on a monday (shipped 3 day) so I would have them by friday. When they didn't come on friday, I called and they said they had just shipped on friday. Wouldn't refund my shipping or anything. First and last time they screw me...
