well, i finally got my second 6cyl. passenger side motor mount tower. now i just need to figure out what rubber mounts to get. ford or jeep?

i'm using 2 jeep towers and a FORD sb motor. do i get 2 ford rubber mounts or 2 passenger side jeep rubber motor mounts?

any other tips for using this method? i've heard of people having to use washer as spacers.....

all i can find on the internet is that you use 2 jeep mm's. all the 302 has on it is a 5" bracket w/ flanges on the end and a hole in each flange. there is one bracket on each side.

I used a Jeep MM on the right and a homemade mount on the left along with Mustang rubber mounts to mount my 2.3L. Since the 302 and the 2.3L will mount to the same K-member at least in a Mustang, I would imagine you could do the same thing. Here's a writeup on what I did.

I made my own mounts and re-used the stock poly bushings. I don't know if ths helps you because I swapped in a 350. You can see pics in the Big Yellow Buildup section of my web page.

Used stock Ford car mounts in my cj. Then just made the frame mounts using a piece of tube the bolt fits thru, and flat stock. Nice thing about the ford mounts is that even if the rubber goes bad, the motor can't fall out since there is a metal cage all the way around it.

I knew sereral guy's who ran this. I think only one still does. You'll have to shim the back up around 1.25" and the front .25".
