Cherokee Radiator in a YJ

I'm moving the axle on my YJ forward and doing a 3 link dana 44 with coilovers. Has anyone put a Cherokee radiator in a YJ or a TJ? The way my suspension is designed my steering linkage is gonna run into the radiator. I would like a radiator that is not as tall as the YJ/TJ radiator.

I know that I'm gonna have to go with an electric fan that is a pusher in stead of the stock puller so my axle can flex up into the place where the stock pulley driven fan and fan shroud are at the moment.

There are two radiator sizes for the cherokee one is
31"x11 1/2" x 2" the other is 16 3/4" x 20 1/4" x 2

The stock radiator in my jeep is 18 1/2"x20"x1 7/16"

I am looking at the 31"x11 1/2"x2" this would give me almost 10" for my axle to move up into the engine campartment before contacting the radiator.

I am not looking for a thinner radiator just a shorter one.

This would be a lot cheaper than a Rod Davis style radiator.

Any suggestions on other radiators that might work would be appriciated.

The "31incher" is probably the 4.0L radiator, and will probably cool your 6cyl YJ. The question, that you should answere, is will it fit? It appears to me the YJ front clip is not as wide as the XJ; you may have to mount it on top of the bumper!

It won't fit between the headlights.

I just wrapped up installing a Summit rad (sum-0380424) 22" wide, 19" tall, 2.25" thick..... I had to cut almost 2" out of each headlight bucket for clearance.

There's no way a 31" wide rad will work.
