TJ Flexplate - urgent help needed - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I'm putting a 2005 4.0L and 42RLE into my TJ. I'm installing the flexplate (drive plate) to the rear of the motor. There are 6 bolts, and there is a ring the same diameter as the crank output flange.

Does this ring go against the flange or on the trans side of the flexplate?

Thanks! Saw some marks that made it look that way, so that's what I did... Nice that it worked out.
