How to remove SM465 shifter

How do you remove the shifter on an SM465? I posted in newbie without a response.

Push down on the retainer at the base and turn counter clock wise. The spring can be stiff - so use some muscle. I *think* it is the same as the SM420.

Yep thats all there is to it...

Why would you post this in Jeep Hardcore when it's a chevy transmission???
