Chevy header question for my yj

I've got a 91 5.7 TPI motor in my jeep and a set of these headers. My problem is that the ports on the motor look to be square and the ports on the header are round. I wouldn't think it would be correct to run these headers, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know for sure or know of a similar set of headers with the correct square ports?

I run a TBI 383 stroker in my YJ and had the same issue but it's not a problem. I tried the header style that you have and had some clearence issues so I went to the block hugger style with the collector coming down in the middle of the header. My shop ran one tube under the pan and made a custom Y pipe so I could run a single muffler out the back. (no drive shaft issues or clearence problems.) I'm running a TH-350 tranny as well with the stock case but am switching to a 205 T-case soon. I also moved the stock tank into the bed area so now I can run any exhaust I want. If you still have the stock tank, it's best to run your ex.. tube along the passenger side with 1 tube other wise you wont have any clearence. Good luck. Have you done any drive train upgrades?

So you are running round port headers on a square head? If so, what gaskets did you use? (round or square, and alum. or copper)

I'm running a ford hp 60 front and 60 rear and a flipped D300. I've got a fuel cell behind the back seat also.

I used the round gaskets that came with the headers. Soak them in a bucket of water over night before you put them on. mine are still sealing fine and have been on for over a year.
