"jeep" buggy
as i'm no doubt going to get flamed for this, im kind of curious to see what the general consensus is. I've got a '75 CJ5 that i'm putting full width axles under, and lengthening by 10-12 inches. to make it look right i think ill have to lengthen the tub too, my thought was instead of doing that, to ditch the tub and have a buddy fabricate a full tube frame for it and cover it in sheet metal, this would give it an "F-Toy" look ... kind of curious as to some serious input on if it would be worth it, of if i should just go ahed and lengthen the tub to make it look decent.

Agreed. depends what youre doing with it. Stretching the tub and keeping it full bodied looks best in my opinion. But then again if your going to be rubbing rocks and flopping a fair bit. Might want to just to tubes and some simple skins. Don't want to put a bunch of work into something to make it look nice and then destroy it. Dent a skin beyond your liking you can just rip it off and throw a new one on.

Are you just stretching the wheelbase, or do you also want more room? I increased my wheelbase 10" by using xj leaves in the rear (6") and moving the front hangers 4" in the front. I did not have to comp cut the rear. I just made corners and moved the wheel well.
